Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains our policies regarding refunds, cancellations, and subscription management for HumanGPT. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to this policy.
2. Free Trial
We may offer a free trial period for new users. During the trial, you can cancel anytime without charge. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged for the first billing period.
3. Subscription Cancellation
3.1 How to Cancel
You can cancel your subscription anytime by:
- Logging into your account and going to Settings → Subscription
- Clicking "Cancel Subscription"
- Confirming the cancellation
Alternatively, you can contact our support team at support@humangpt.so to cancel.
3.2 When Cancellation Takes Effect
When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to the Service until that date. After that, your subscription will not renew, and you will no longer be charged.
3.3 No Partial Refunds on Cancellation
Canceling your subscription does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until the end of your paid period.
4. Refund Policy
4.1 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you are not satisfied with the Service within 7 days of your initial purchase, you may request a full refund.
4.2 Refund Eligibility
To be eligible for a refund:
- The refund request must be made within 7 days of your first payment
- You must have processed less than 2,000 words total
- This applies only to first-time subscribers (one refund per user)
- You must not have violated our Terms of Service
- You must not have abused the Service or engaged in fraudulent activity
4.3 Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds will NOT be issued in the following cases:
- After the 7-day refund window has passed
- If you have processed 2,000 or more words
- For renewal payments (only first payment is eligible)
- If you have violated our Terms of Service
- For partial months or pro-rated refunds
- If your account was terminated for abuse or fraud
4.4 How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email support@humangpt.so with the subject "Refund Request"
- Include your account email and reason for the refund
- We will review and respond as soon as possible
- If approved, refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days
4.5 Refund Method
All refunds are processed through Stripe, our payment processor. Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for purchase. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take several business days for the refund to appear in your account after Stripe processes it.
5. Subscription Billing
5.1 Auto-Renewal
All subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged the then-current subscription price.
5.2 Price Changes
We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email. The new price will apply at your next renewal date.
5.3 Failed Payments
If your payment method fails, we will attempt to charge again. After multiple failed attempts, your subscription may be suspended or canceled. You will be notified by email if this occurs.
6. Downgrades and Plan Changes
6.1 Upgrading Your Plan
You can upgrade your plan at any time. The upgrade takes effect immediately, and you will be charged a pro-rated amount for the remainder of your billing period.
6.2 Downgrading Your Plan
You can downgrade your plan at any time. The downgrade will take effect at the start of your next billing period. No refunds are issued for the difference in price for the current period.
7. Account Termination by HumanGPT
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of our Terms of Service, fraudulent activity, or abuse. In such cases, no refunds will be issued, regardless of when the payment was made.
8. Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your credit card company (chargeback) without first contacting us, your account may be immediately suspended. Chargebacks may result in permanent account termination. Please contact support@humangpt.so before initiating a chargeback.
9. Taxes
Prices displayed do not include applicable taxes. You are responsible for any sales tax, VAT, or other taxes based on your location. These taxes will be added to your invoice where required by law.
